We thank all the shareholders and members who have supported our club over the years – thanks to you, we have come so far that we can move forward with a straight back to meet our next long-term goals. We will proceed we have done since the beginning of the club – calmly, without haste, with common sense and modesty.
Our club has important traditions, history, nature, people, golf values, and all this is expressed by the courses we build in their beautiful complexity, harmony with nature and ingenious simplicity.
It is a pleasure to share it with as many people as possible here in Jõelähtme!
Hanno Kross
CEO
We are very happy when new members join our club and pass on the values that the club holds dear in its attitude towards people – the club is only as strong as its members after all.
Of course, you can play golf without having to be a member of a club anywhere – the courses are all open, you can even acquire the right to play and make you way round the course 100 times a year if you wish. However, club membership provides a good foundation to rely on if you always want to play with us, meet new people or just have a good time. And let’s not forget Estonian Golf & Country Club’s advantages and benefits and club competitions throughout the season.
Estonian Golf & Country Club can accommodate up to 650 adult members, the limit does not apply to children and young people. You can still become a member without owning a share, but as for new members and on the waiting list, priority is given to shareholders of AS EGCC.
In 2024, the deadline for paying the club membership fee is March 15. After the deadline, we will release the places that have not paid the membership fee to golf players on the waiting list.
In addition to membership, it is possible to acquire a share in AS EGCC, which owns and manages Jõelähtme golf courses. We have more than 400 different shareholders, who own more than 50% of the company. Thanks to the contribution of the shareholders in 2003-2007, EGCC construction was completed – all the funds received for the construction were largely obtained through share issues, in which ordinary golfers and club members invested, most of whom own one or two shares of AS EGCC.
Today we don’t have any shares for sale, but you can buy shares on the market if you want – so many people who helped bring the club to life in 2005 have reduced the number of rounds due to age and agree to sell to active Estonian players.
Club members and shareholder have plenty to be proud of. In 2005 we joined the European Tour Destinations to get a direct connection to the best know-how in the world of golf.
We have set ourselves the goal of organizing some major international competitions at Estonian Golf & Country Club every year in order to bring both players as well as competition organizers and judges to Estonia. This, in turn has given many in Estonia the opportunity to gain top-class experience here by learning from the best in the world.
Good examples are the World Cup European Qualifier competitions organized here in 2009 and 2011, which were played by many world level as well as Ryder Cup players. In addition to several European Championships, from young people to seniors and in between, there are also individual European Championships for women and men in 2014 and 2016.
Clearly, our Jõelähtme golf course has scaled an incredibly large number of peaks in a relatively short time. The Sea Course record of 63 strokes belongs to Viktor Hovland from Norway, a young talent currently in the world’s top ten who earned silver at the European Championships in 2016.
