On Thursday, April 18, R&A Sustainable Agronomy Senior Agronomist Gordon Howat held a meeting with Estonian Golf & Country Club members and greenkeeping team. At the meeting held in the seminar room of the Estonian Golf & Country Club, a summary of the past year’s developments and observations was made and plans for the next two years were discussed.
“You can say that we were lucky with the weather, because we wouldn’t have had anything to do with the recent snow. We checked the Sea Course’s greens and according to Howat, the situation was great, which means that the work of last year has paid off,” said the course manager Andri Schmidt. “Howat’s meeting with the greenkeepers and club members was also excellent and meaningful,” added Schmidt.
The cooperation between EGCC and R&A started in 2022, and this year the visit lasted three days. Each week, Howat reviews EGCC’s fertilization programs and other work processes and helps interpret periodic soil tests.
