Annika Course

By 2028, we plan to open the new 18‑hole Annika Course, which will replace our current 9‑hole Stone Course.

Jõelähtme’s new championship course has been designed by Annika Sörenstam — the greatest female golfer of all time — in collaboration with European Golf Design.

The Annika Course will be a full‑length, over 6,400‑metre tournament venue, offering a completely different playing experience from our Sea Course, which has been ranked among Continental Europe’s Top 100 courses for four consecutive years.

Annika Sörenstam has a deep love for links golf. Her vision is to create the best course she can in Europe — her very first on the continent — a place she herself would find inspiring to play, yet one where families and golfers of all levels can enjoy the game together.

“We first met Annika in 2011 and invited her to design our second 18‑hole course. She embraced the idea immediately. She liked what we had built so far, and when she saw the beauty of our landscape, she felt instantly at home.

The current Stone Course and its views reminded her very much of the places where she began her golfing career in Sweden,” says Hanno Kross, CEO of Estonian Golf & Country Club.

Since retiring from professional golf in 2008, Annika Sörenstam has designed six courses in South Africa, South Korea, China and the United States. “I’m truly delighted to design my first course in Europe — and especially so close to home,” Sörenstam says.

“What makes this project especially exciting is the Estonian Golf & Country Club’s forward‑thinking approach. Modern golf facilities must be flexible and family‑friendly, and this project embraces those needs beautifully.”
